It is an exclusive privilege for our clients. The applicant must be a foreign skilled worker or expert (Skilled Experts/Executives), hold an educational qualification that matches the position applied for (at least a bachelor's degree), and have a work experience certificate from a credible former employer covering a sufficiently long period according to BOI criteria.

It can be approved, but the work history documents must be very strong. You will need Experience Letters from former employers proving accumulated skills of at least 5-7 years or more, submitted as an explanation of expertise in place of the educational qualification. The ETHAIVISA team is highly experienced in writing these explanations so that they pass smoothly.

The main documents are: a copy of every passport page bearing a stamp, the degree certificate (Degree), a reference letter from the previous employer (Reference Letter), a colour photo with a white background, and a medical certificate covering the 6 prohibited diseases (if the foreign national is already in Thailand).

Under the current BOI system, if the document is in English and highly credible, in some cases you can simply attach the original together with a certified copy. However, for certain specific nationalities or documents not in English, they must first be translated and properly legalised by the embassy.

It must be an Executive, Manager or Specialist position that the company originally submitted to the BOI for approval as part of its position quota structure (Position Framework). General positions or operational-level jobs that Thai nationals can perform cannot be applied for.

We submit the BT.32 application in advance while the foreign national is not yet in Thailand. Once approved, you will receive a "Letter of Approval to Bring a Foreign National in to Work." We will send this file to the foreign national to attach to their Non-B visa application via the Thai E-Visa system at the Royal Thai Embassy abroad, so they can fly to Thailand.

Yes. If the foreign national is fully qualified and the company's position quota is ready, the BT.32 application to place the person in the system can be submitted right away. The approval can then be used to change the visa type and obtain long-term annual work authorisation at the One Stop Service Center, without having to leave the country.

You can process a "transfer of rights and change of employer into the BOI system" within Thailand. We first submit a BT.32 application placing this employee under the new BOI company so that it is approved in advance. We then schedule the date for removing their name from the former company and for stamping the new visa at Chamchuri or One Bangkok TIESC on a coordinated timeline, so the visa will not lapse.

Fees are based on the period approved in the system. As a standard, if a full 1 year is approved, the government fee is 3,000 THB (plus a 100 THB application fee), and if the maximum of a full 2 years is approved, the fee is 6,000 THB.

This is a key advantage of BOI. The system approves the validity period according to the needs of the promoted project, so experts may be approved for up to 1 year or a full 2 years from the very first application (more flexible than the standard system).

About 30-45 days before expiry, the ETHAIVISA team will apply for an "extension of stay and work" (Extension) through the online system to obtain approval for a further one or two years. The foreign employee does not need to restart the entire BT.32 process.

Yes, immediately. You must submit a request in the online system to amend the employer details or add the workplace, so that the foreign national's Digital Work Permit application shows a work location that matches reality. This prevents problems during random inspections.

The foreign national should first obtain a new passport from their embassy. Our team will then accompany them to process the transfer of visa stamp (Transfer Stamp) at the One Stop Service Center and link the new passport number to the Digital Work Permit system. Everything will then work as normal again without any loss of rights.
